Sweater vests are pretty pointless too - just sayin’. . .

The vest issue you have I agree with! It’s like growing hair out of our ears but being bald? THAT is like wearing sleeves but no vest. Just for the record, I possess the same proud hairs of head that you have.

Once again Paul you've crystallized my thoughts eloquently. Sleeveless vests make about as much sense for warmth as knee-length snow pants. It needed to be said and kudos for saying it.

You don’t like sleeveless vests because you are young.

When you get old you wear both. Sleeveless goes easily underneath a thick jumper with a sleeved jacket on top of vest and jumper.

I was gifted a vest during the holidays. I returned it due to not having a clue what the purpose was. I’ve been told keeping your arms insulated is as pointless as insulating your legs, however I wear fur lined sweatpants to keep my legs warm all winter, so I have no idea what people are talking about.

I’ve seen a bunch of long puffer coats (I call them sleeping bag) that are sleeveless. No idea how that works
